All of our grip materials are made from Naturally shed or cut off antlers or bones from naturally deceased animals.

Lone Star 1911 & Cowboy Grips currently offers the following materials for making its grips:

Red Stag 

Red Stag or Red Deer is one of the largest deer species in the world.  It is know for its large antler rack which forms a unique cup on the top of its antler. It is native to Europe, Asia, South America, and New Zealand. It has been successfully imported and bred in the United States.

Roosevelt Elk 

The Roosevelt Elk is the largest of the North American Elk species. It ranges only in the Pacific Northwest and parts of Alaska. It is known for its distinctive, sometimes multi colored antlers.

Rocky Mountain Elk

The Rocky Mountain Elk is Native to North America and once ranged the entirety of the United States and Canada. It currently ranges only the Rocky Mountain West.  It has the largest antler of any Elk species.

Natural and Dyed Giraffe Bone

The Giraffe is the tallest living animal in the world. It is native to Africa. Our grips are made only from the bones of naturally deceased Giraffe.
